Summer Camping Trip to Mount Norris Scout Reservation

TrTroop 586 traveled to Mount Norris Scout Reservation in Vermont from Sunday July 13 to Saturday July 19, 2014. Nine scouts and four leaders attended the event. Scouts earned 17 Merit Badges. We camped in the Jay Peak site at camp which was a great location. Scouts had an excellent time. Scouts learned many scout crafts, archery, shotgun, rifle, life saving, climbing, and swimming. Mount Norris operates as a mess hall style camp which scouts enjoyed. The food was very good. Mount Norris was a 5 hour drive from Adams NY and everyone enjoyed the scenery as we travled through the Adirondack Mountains and took Ferries across Lake Champlain.
